Saori Weaving
So, this fabric was one of my first saori weavings, I chose this colour scheme and collected all the yarns I had that would work together: dark brown cotton chenille, hand dyed variegated silk, gold cotton chenille, brown and copper 2/8 cotton... the fabric was about 14" wide and about 60" long. After I washed and dried it, and purchased a wonderful auburn gold piece of silk for lining, I realized that there just wasn't enough to make a traditional style vest. Then Lynn's vest idea from a Saorisaltspring web post a few weeks back inspired me to get it off the shelf and give it a try. Only the tiniest scraps left over, but it feels wonderful and I love it!!!

Fabulous Sharon! Love the colours and the adaptations to your own cloth.
(You can see Lynn's vest here).
